More about Jodi.

Born and raised in beautiful Tucson, Arizona, Jodi Woodnick earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in (Cum Laude) and her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University.

Jodi has had a rich and fulfilling career working with families and kids of all ages through non-profit agencies, therapeutic & recreational camps, and more. For nearly a decade, she worked in schools, where she trained faculty in child development and behavior, and supported students, teachers and parents when emotions and behaviors became overwhelming.

Jodi developed her passion for working with kids and families in her teens working as a counselor at sleep-away camp. There, she realized that kids are capable of so much more than we give them credit for. Camp, she discovered, is a world created for kids, by kids. Mesmerized by the power of teens and young adults creating magical experiences, Jodi remains involved in the field of camp to this day, collaborating with parents, campers and staff to make camp accessible for those with unique social, emotional and/or behavioral needs.

Jodi utilizes an eclectic approach to her work with children and families. Starting from a place of compassion and empathy, she incorporates techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and more to give you, your child, and your family the most comprehensive treatment possible.

When she isn't working, you can find Jodi listening to a good Murder Mystery podcast on the hiking trail, shopping at the nearest Marshall's, or hanging out with her family.
